SAKKURA

Sakkura is a UK record producer, performer & DJ from Brighton. Whilst she is not new to the world of dance music her pseudonym represents a fresh start. 

Under previous aliases she has released music on an array of prolific record labels in the dance music industry including Ram Records, Mou5trap, Metalheadz, Ministry of Sound, Ganja, Playaz, Viper, Breakbeat Chaos, Anjuna Beats, Hospital & Skint to name a few. 

Her résumé of remixes spans the likes of Groove Armada, Deadmou5, The Freestylers, Above & Beyond, Baby D, Enter Shikari & many more. 

Her productions have charted in the top 40 and she has received a prolific amount of radio play particularly from BBC Radio1 with huge support from Apple Music’s Zane Low. 

Sakkura's global appeal transcends borders, with electrifying performances captivating audiences across the USA, Europe, and Asia. 

Since the birth of the Sakkura name she has teamed up with like-minded artists to form a crew of passionate music creators which has led to the formation of a project called Sakkura Live. 

Sakkura Live is an electrifying ensemble known for their diverse range of self-written and produced drum & bass music. Bolstered by powerhouse vocalists Riva and Dee Freer, and guided by MC Miss Melody, their performances are a fusion of energy and artistry, with MC Miss Melody guiding the audience, their performances are captivating and energetic. 

At the core of Sakkura Live is o.C. Breaks, a skilled drummer who anchors the rhythm while triggering pre-produced beats using a midi drum kit. This unique approach allows for real-time manipulation of breaks, creating a one-of-a-kind sonic journey. 

Sakkura adds melody and texture to the group's sound with keyboards and midi instruments, creating a rich and immersive experience. Blending the intensity of a DJ set with the excitement of live instrumentation, Sakkura Live's performances are a truly immersive experience. 
 

Having surrounded herself with such a large group of talented artists she decided to create a new record label that represented their collective vision, out of this Atherea Records was born. 

The name Atherea represents the space between the astral realms and the physical world, the tethering of the mind and spirit. 

Working alongside the Atherea Records collective she has put together an album of collaborative work called "Astral" slated for release in summer 2024.
